Portal Registration is a multi-step process, and is designed to give you secure, authenticated access to your proprietary data. NOAO Primary Investigators (PI) will receive an email registration invitation from the NOAO Science Archive (Archive) that will invite you to register with the Archive. This invitation will contain a URL that will take you to an Archive form with pre-filled in values found in the NOAO Proposal database. You may change your Archive user information with this first form:
Welcome to the NCSA/NOAO Archive Login Registration Portal
Fill out and submit the NOAO Archive registration form:

After pressing the [Submit] button, you will then be re-directed to the NVO Registration page at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illnois. Here you will create your single sign-on identity. Creating an NVO Logon is a two step process:
- Step 1: Complete the NVO registration form.
- Step 2: Confirm your identity by replying to a confirmation email.
Once you have filled out the NVO registration form, pressing the [Submit] button will re-direct you to Step 2 of the NVO registration process. Step 2 will ask you to Confirm Your Identity:
To confirm that your email address is correct, we will send you an email asking you for confirmation. To confirm, your can either
